First, I’ve written my first WordPress theme. I wanted to use WordPress here just so I could make the maintenance of my blog as trivial as possible. My goal was something that emulated the old manually-coded HTML of ancient blogs, and I think I mostly hit it. There are a few things I want to updated to make it more modern, but it’s good enough for now.
Second, I hooked my blog up to ActivityPub. In addition to following me via my RSS Feed, you can also follow the dedicated activity pub account. Search for @blog@jimkubicek.com in your Mastodon client of choice to subscribe. Here’s a direct link if you’re on mastodon.social.
